How to Make Boiled Banana with Cinnamon
This comforting drink takes just minutes to make, using simple ingredients most people already have on hand.
- 1 ripe banana (you can leave the peel on or off — both methods work)
- 1 cinnamon stick (or 1 teaspoon of ground cinnamon)
- 1 cup of water
Directions:
- Bring the cup of water to a gentle boil in a small pot.
- Slice the banana in half or into thick rounds. If using the peel, rinse it well beforehand.
- Add the banana and cinnamon to the boiling water.
- Reduce heat and let simmer for about 10 minutes.
- Remove from heat and let steep for a few more minutes.
- Strain into a mug and enjoy warm — ideally one hour before bedtime.
Some people add a tiny bit of raw honey for flavor, but it’s entirely optional.
