“You are a nun. You weigh 128 lbs, and you are going to Chicago.”
At first, she dismissed it, thinking the message was generic. But the more she pondered its accuracy, the more intrigued she became.
“You are a Nun. You weigh 128 lbs. You are going to Chicago and you are going to play a fiddle.”
She laughed, certain it was wrong—she had never played an instrument. Yet moments later, a cowboy-like traveler sat beside her with a fiddle case. On a whim, she opened it, tried playing the instrument, and to her own amazement, created beautiful music.
The Final Prediction
Determined to see what would happen next, she tried the machine one more time. The third card read:
“You are a Nun. You weigh 128 lbs. You are going to Chicago and you are going to break wind.”
Confident the machine must be mistaken, she stepped down—but in an awkward slip while regaining her balance, the prediction came true.
