Venezuela’s Defence Minister Vladimir Padrino said on state television that a “large part” of Maduro’s security team along with soldiers and “innocent civilians” were killed, without giving a number or providing more details.
The Venezuelan government earlier accused the US of hitting some civilian areas and had said it was collating figures of casualties and deaths, but has not released any official figures yet.
