Utah News: Outrage After Video Shows Theft Amid Tragedy at Charlie Kirk Event

September 10 began as a day of debate and discussion at Utah Valley University. Charlie Kirk, co-founder of Turning Point USA, had drawn thousands of students to an outdoor forum designed to spark dialogue on political and cultural issues.

The event, like many of Kirk’s, was built around conversation — he handed out baseball caps to attendees before taking the stage, engaging with students in a format he called “Prove Me Wrong.”

But as Kirk responded to a student’s question, tragedy struck. A single shot ended the event abruptly, sending panic through the crowd of young people who had gathered. Authorities later confirmed that Kirk did not survive.
