The Pentagon has not disclosed the mission’s codename, but sources suggest a broader anti-narcotics campaign tied to regional intelligence operations.
During a meeting at the White House with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, Trump said:
“We attacked a submarine built specifically for transporting massive amounts of drugs.”
U.S. Strategy Expands in the Caribbean
Earlier this week, Trump authorized CIA operations in the area, while U.S. Air Force B-52 bombers conducted a visible “show of force” near Venezuelan waters.
Officials describe the move as part of alarger anti-fentanyl initiative, combining intelligence, naval, and air surveillance assets.
