Now, following Mamdani’s victory, Trump’s words seem to have carried more weight. He has hinted that the new mayor might face tough challenges from the federal government if he pushes forward with policies that conflict with Trump’s political views.

Trump, known for his penchant for creating nicknames for his political opponents, unveiled a new one for Newsom. “Maybe that should be his nickname — Slimy. Slimy Newscum, right?”
