Tragic Accident Claims Life on Eastern Highway

The accident took place in the afternoon when a gray Mazda Demio, carrying three passengers, was traveling east to west.

The vehicle was driven by Angela Merici Ubiera Sosa, with Maribel Sosa Polanco and Ruth Sosa as passengers.

Following the collision, the two survivors sustained injuries and were immediately taken to Villa Hermosa Hospital in La Romana for treatment.

Ruth Sosa’s body was recovered by forensic doctor Dr. Benito Kelly, while the damaged vehicle was transported to the Digesett Headquarters in La Romana for further examination. Fortunately, no state infrastructure or private property was affected by the crash.

Authorities have opened an investigation to clarify the circumstances that led to the accident. Meanwhile, Ruth’s family, friends, and the local community continue to mourn her loss, remembering her fondly and honoring the impact she had on those around her.
