The Heartwarming Moment That Started It All: Bindi Meets Baby Robert Irwin

The video, filmed more than 20 years ago, shows the infectious joy of Steve Irwin as he introduces his newborn son to little Bindi. Even at five years old, Bindi’s curiosity and affection are evident as she gently cradles her baby brother and begins asking thoughtful questions.

One of the most memorable moments comes when Bindi decides to give her brother a nickname. “I’ll call him Brian,” she says proudly. Steve gently corrects her, “His name’s Robert.” Without hesitation, she responds, “But I’ll call him Brian for short,” prompting laughter from both of her parents.
