Reiner and Marshall married in 1971, during the height of their early careers. Reiner was starring on All in the Family, while Marshall was on the path to television stardom. During their marriage, Reiner adopted Marshall’s daughter, blending family and career in the public eye. Though they divorced in 1981, Reiner and Marshall remained iconic figures in comedy and Hollywood culture.
Tracy was the first of Rob’s children to break their silence following the heartbreaking incident, telling NBC News’ entertainment correspondent Chloe Melas that she is ‘in shock’.
At the same time, Nick Reiner has been arrested on suspicion of murder after the deaths of his parents, according to the Los Angeles police chief Jim McDonnell. Jail records first indicated his bail was set at $4 million, but authorities later ordered that the 32-year-old Reiner be held without bail.
He is set to appear in court today, December 16, 2025, according to reports.
