The glitter of Tinseltown’s holiday season nearly blinded Los Angeles the weekend of December 13–14, 2025.

Only a day later, that same glitter turned to grief — and then to a wrenching, complex tragedy that has captured global attention.

On Sunday afternoon, December 14, 2025, emergency responders were called to the sprawling Brentwood estate of legendary filmmaker Rob Reiner and his wife, Michele Singer Reiner.

Inside the residence, first responders found both in apparent fatal stabbing wounds.

Their daughter, Romy Reiner, had discovered their bodies after a massage therapist was unable to reach the couple for a pre‑scheduled appointment.
