One stunned commenter wrote, “I’m trying to focus on how cute these kids are, but why does that first boy look like he’s got an iPad straight out of 2010?”
But not everyone is convinced a time-hopping tech user made a cameo in Rosskam’s photo. Plenty of skeptics jumped in to pump the brakes.

One user insisted, “I’m not seeing anything futuristic. Looks more like he’s carrying a diary or a small book.”
Another added, “Honestly, it just looks like a basic notebook. People are reaching.”
While the debate rages on, there was at least one topic that united viewers: the children’s outfits. The kids, dressed in polished coats, hats, and classic 1940s styles, drew admiration from across the political spectrum.
One commenter wrote, “These kids look incredible. Imagine getting that dressed up just to catch a movie.”
