Approximately 30 minutes later, after realising his daughter was missing and unable to find her, Sandro interrupted the proceedings on stage to call out for his daughter.

She had been stabbed 10 times, and the knife used in the assault was found near her body.

Forensic experts later concluded Beatriz had not been killed in the room where she was discovered. The lack of evidence in the room suggested she had been murdered elsewhere and then concealed – a theory that aligns with the fact that the room had become largely off-limits to students in recent years.

During the initial phase of the inquiry, eyewitnesses claimed to have spotted a gentleman in a green top loitering by the water fountains moments before Beatriz vanished. Authorities also verified that a bunch of keys providing entry to various sections of the school had disappeared several days prior.

CCTV systems throughout the premises had been tampered with, with vital recordings erased.

There has been a certain misuse of authority. We are discovering that some officers who took part in Beatriz’s investigation, in one way or another, hindered the process,” he stated during a radio broadcast.

DNA recovered from the knife handle used in the attack was linked to Marcelo da Silva, aged 40 at the time, whose genetic information was already held in the state records. He was currently imprisoned for separate offences, including the sexual abuse of a minor.

Marcelo admitted his guilt on camera, revealing to officers he had broken into the school with the intention of taking cash. His testimony claimed Beatriz became alarmed when she spotted him and started screaming, leading him to attack her “so she would stop screaming.”

On the very same evening, Lucinha shared a video explaining she had received no notification from authorities regarding the detention. “The police do not talk to us, so we will speak through a press conference tomorrow,” she declared. Continue reading…
