Mother and three children who lost their lives on BR-060 identified

The fatal victims were identified: Drielle Leite Lopes, Helena Leite Saraiva, 10 years old, José Augusto Saraiva, just 3 months old, and João Lúcio Leite Saraiva.

The tragedy mobilized rescue teams and caused intense social commotion, especially on social media, where friends and relatives mourned the losses. Among the survivors, five people were rescued, three of them with serious injuries.

Among the injured were the children’s father and the couple’s eldest son, aged 13, who were taken to a local hospital. The teenager had fractures in his legs and suspected internal bleeding. The father suffered multiple injuries and also remains hospitalized in serious condition. Continue reading…
