Understanding Routine Consistency

Routine consistency refers to engaging in similar activities at roughly the same times each day or week. These activities may include waking up, eating meals, studying, exercising, relaxing, and going to sleep. While routines are often associated with structure and discipline, their emotional and psychological benefits are just as significant.

The human brain is naturally wired to seek patterns. Predictability helps the mind conserve energy, reduce uncertainty, and feel safe.
