Eighteen Arrested After Female Officers
PC Abby Hayward added, “We get catcalled. We get honked at… it’s so common, but it’s harassment.”
The operation has led to 18 arrests for offenses including harassment and sexual assault.
In less serious cases, officers issued warnings and explained why the behavior was unacceptable.
Some men later apologized, admitting they “had not realized how serious it was.”
