A tragic accident on Rodovia do Sol has left the community shaken. Last week, a young couple stopped on the road to change a flat tire when they were struck by an oncoming vehicle.

The couple had pulled over their Chevrolet Cruze to the shoulder. While fixing the tire, a Chevrolet S10 pickup sped toward them and hit the parked car, causing chaos at the scene.

Emergency responders, including the Fire Department and police, arrived quickly. Three people from the Cruze, including a woman named Ingrid and her brother, were injured and taken to nearby hospitals.

Authorities suspect the driver of the S10 pickup was intoxicated. When officers arrived, the driver had already fled, adding to concerns about responsibility and safety. Continue reading…
