Clintons refuse to answer Epstein questions

Well this one’s going to get some mouths wagging.

Bill and Hillary Clinton have announced they will not comply with congressional subpoenas seeking testimony about their connections to the disgraced financier Jeffrey Epstein.

The subpoenas were handed down in August by the Republican-led House oversight committee after its chair, James Comer, announced a review of the government’s handling of Epstein.

In a letter sent to Comer on Monday, lawyers representing the former president and first lady argued that the subpoenas were “invalid and legally unenforceable, untethered to a valid legislative purpose, unwarranted because they do not seek pertinent information, and an unprecedented infringement on the separation of powers”.

‘Anything less is unacceptable’: Greenland ‘vital’, Trump says

President Donald Trump said on Wednesday morning, local time, that US control of Greenland was “vital” for his planned Golden Dome air and missile defense system.

“The United States needs Greenland for the purpose of National Security. It is vital for the Golden Dome that we are building,” Mr Trump, who has repeatedly vowed to seize the Arctic island from ally Denmark, wrote on social media.

“NATO becomes far more formidable and effective with Greenland in the hands of the UNITED STATES. Anything less than that is unacceptable.”

Mr Trump’s post came early on a day when top Danish and Greenlandic diplomats were to visit the White House for talks on Greenland with Vice President JD Vance and Secretary of State Marco Rubio.

Ford worker suspended after insulting Trump

The US autoworker who yelled “pedophile protector” at Donald Trump during the president’s visit to a Ford factory in Michigan has now been suspended from his job at Ford.

TJ Sabula, 40, said he“no regrets” despite the incident drawing a middle finger and a “f*** you” from the commander-in-chief.

Sabula made the comment as Trump toured the Ford River Rouge complex in Dearborn on Tuesday. Video of the moment shows the president responding by mouthing off twice and raising his middle finger.

Sabula said he was later suspended from his job while Ford conducts an internal investigation into the incident. Despite the potential consequences, he said he stands by his actions.

Iranian rial collapses into darkness

The Iranian rial has crumbled further into the abyss, now trading on the open market at around 1,457,000 rials to the US dollar.

On Wednesday, Google’s currency exchange calculator showed the Euro trading for 1.27 million rials.

731,000 would earn you one Australian dollar.

In short, you’d have to be a multi-millionare in Iran right now to afford a Big Mac in the West.
