2️⃣ Prepare the Potatoes

Cut each potato into long, thin strips — aim for ¼ inch thickness.

Try to keep the size uniform so they cook evenly.

You can also cut them into wedge shapes if you prefer thicker fries, but you may need to adjust the baking time.

Soak the cut potatoes in cold water for 30 minutes if you have time — this removes excess starch and helps them get even crispier. Dry them thoroughly before continuing.
