Bill Clinton drops big clue about his pick to be the next president
The comments came in a Politico profile of Newsom which also said that Newsom would be “thrilled” at the comparison to Clinton, the man from Hope, Ark., who served two terms in the White House in the 1990s.
Newsom “makes no secret of his admiration of the former president and the Californian’s oratory and mannerisms, consciously or not, echo the Arkansan,” Politico said.
“Big time,” said Willie Brown, the statehouse speaker-turned-mayor.
Brown gave Newsom his first break in politics by appointing him to San Francisco’s Parking and Traffic Commission.
