


Understanding Stress Anticipation
Stress anticipation occurs when the mind projects into the future and imagines possible negative outcomes. The brain is designed to anticipate threats as a survival mechanism, but in today’s environment, this system is often overactivated. Instead of responding to immediate danger, people worry about emails not yet sent, tasks not yet completed, or events that may never occur.
