A Life-Altering Diagnosis
Mac Sinise was diagnosed with a rare and aggressive form of cancer known as chordoma on August 8, 2018.
Chordoma is a cancer that develops in the bones of the skull base and spine, often progressing slowly but causing severe complications due to its location. The diagnosis alone was devastating, but the timing made it even more overwhelming for the family.
Just months earlier, Mac’s mother, Moira Harris Sinise, had been diagnosed with stage three breast cancer. The family suddenly found themselves confronting two serious cancer battles at the same time.
While Moira underwent intensive treatment, including surgery and therapy, Mac began his own grueling journey—one that would test him physically, emotionally, and spiritually.
