Alexis Lewis and Cory Booker Are Married, and Many Are Saying the Same Thing

Nevertheless, their first date stretched over five hours, a long evening filled with conversation, laughter, and a surprising ease of connection.

According to Booker, he persuaded Lewis to extend her travel plans for a second date, which he later described as “even more magical than the first.”

That evening included dinner in Newark, a Broadway show, a long walk along historic streets, and finally, their first kiss outside the Cathedral Basilica of the Sacred Heart — a moment he described as “perfectly unplanned.”
