In 2025, Strait was named among the prestigious class of Kennedy Center Honors recipients, one of the highest recognitions for artists in American culture.

The honorees were formally recognized in a special Oval Office ceremony ahead of the annual gala at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington, D.C., cementing Strait’s place among the most respected figures in the performing arts.
