After forgetting her wallet, Anna rushed back apartment—only to stumble upon something that would permanently alter her attitude toward her husband

Still shaken, Anna opened her banking app on the way home. The joint account balance had dropped. He really was taking money.

“Well,” she whispered, “if he wants a game, he’s got one.”

Back home, Boris was as impatient as ever.

“Where have you been?” he snapped. “I’ve been starving all day!”

Anna said nothing. She kept calm. She needed to learn more before acting.

The next day, she called in sick and began her own quiet investigation. She combed through Boris’s documents and checked his computer.

What she found confirmed her worst fears—messages between him and a lawyer, discussing divorce and how to split their assets.

She took photos of everything. Then she called a lawyer of her own.

She opened a separate bank account and transferred some of their joint savings. She also reached out to her parents for support.

But Anna wasn’t done. She had one more move to make

That evening, she set the dinner table like she always did. When Boris sat down, she placed a folder in front of him.

“I’m filing for divorce,” she said with a cold smile.
