The public’s curiosity is fueled in part by Trump’s repeated hints about a potential third term. In April, Trump was asked how he would feel about running against Obama if it were legally possible. He responded enthusiastically: “I’d love that. That would be a good one. I’d like that.” Trump went on to acknowledge that while there are ideas circulating about how a third term could theoretically occur, he has not seriously explored them.
