Her comments, made during an interview with the progressive outlet Zeteo, spread rapidly across social media, igniting fierce criticism, intense debate, and a strong reaction from former President Donald Trump, who went so far as to call for her impeachment.
During the interview, Omar suggested that public narratives surrounding Kirk had become overly sanitized in the wake of his death.
