A devastating shooting at a house party in Mountain View, a typically quiet area near Hickory, North Carolina.

Has left one person dead and at least eleven others injured, early Sunday morning, June 1.

The Catawba County Sheriff’s Office reported that authorities were called to the scene on Walnut Acres Drive around 12:45 a.m., responding to what was described as an active and chaotic situation involving multiple victims.

The party, which reportedly had around 100 attendees—including children—turned tragic when multiple shots were fired outside the residence.

Witnesses said the gunfire occurred across both the front and back yards, and some bullets struck a nearby property, extending the scene of the investigation.
